📦 Installation (macOS & Linux)
The easiest route, on both macOS and Linux:
brew install LebedevKondakovSergeyVach/tap/tspmTo upgrade later:
brew upgrade tspmRequires Rust 1.88 or newer (the project uses edition 2024). Install a toolchain from rustup.rs, then:
cargo install tspmThis puts tspm in ~/.cargo/bin, which rustup
normally adds to your PATH. If that command is not found afterwards, see
PATH setup below.
To build a git revision instead of the crates.io release:
cargo install --git https://github.com/LebedevKondakovSergeyVach/Terminal-Session-Proxy-Manager.gitDownload an archive for your platform from the releases page. Builds are published for macOS (x86_64, arm64) and Linux (x86_64, arm64).
Each archive ships with a .sha256 file. Verify before installing:
shasum -a 256 -c tspm-macos-arm64.tar.gz.sha256
tar -xzf tspm-macos-arm64.tar.gzsudo mv tspm /usr/local/bin/On macOS, Gatekeeper may quarantine a downloaded binary. Clear it with:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /usr/local/bin/tspm🛠️ Building from source
Section titled “🛠️ Building from source”git clone https://github.com/LebedevKondakovSergeyVach/Terminal-Session-Proxy-Manager.gitcd Terminal-Session-Proxy-Manager
# Install into ~/.cargo/bincargo install --path .
# Or just build, leaving the binary in target/release/cargo build --release🔧 PATH setup
Section titled “🔧 PATH setup”If the binary is installed but not found, add its directory to your PATH.
For a Cargo install (~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc):
export PATH="$HOME/.cargo/bin:$PATH"For a manual install into /usr/local/bin, that directory is usually on PATH
already. Confirm which binary is being used with:
which tspm🐚 Shell integration (required)
Section titled “🐚 Shell integration (required)”Zsh (~/.zshrc):
eval "$(tspm init zsh)"Bash (~/.bashrc):
eval "$(tspm init bash)"Restart your terminal or run source ~/.zshrc to apply. Details and the full
list of functions are in SHELL_INTEGRATION.md.
🔍 Verifying the installation
Section titled “🔍 Verifying the installation”tspm --versiontype proxy # should report a shell functionproxy config path # shows which config.json is in useproxy status🗑️ Uninstalling
Section titled “🗑️ Uninstalling”# Homebrewbrew uninstall tspm
# Cargo (crates.io)cargo uninstall tspm
# Manualsudo rm /usr/local/bin/tspmThen remove the eval "$(... init ...)" line from your shell rc file.
Configuration is left behind on purpose. Remove it too if you want:
# macOSrm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/tspm# Linuxrm -rf ~/.config/tspm
